Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DEEE).
  • 4–5 years of relevant maintenance experience in automotive or engineering.
  • Valid C Licence.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance.
  • Hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Experience operating and maintaining plant utilities.
  • Knowledge of Energy Management Systems (EMS).
  • Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Basic knowledge of safety standards and maintenance documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure operation and maintenance of plant utilities.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
  • Monitor utility systems (compressors, DG sets, transformers, HVAC, pumps).
  • Conduct routine inspections per established schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain maintenance records, equipment histories, and service reports.
  • Coordinate with Production and other departments to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and efficiency.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician/Engineer role supports reliable manufacturing operations through the preventive and predictive maintenance of plant utilities, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment. The position focuses on troubleshooting breakdowns, minimising downtime, and improving equipment reliability and operational efficiency within an automotive or engineering environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment

  • Ensure the effective operation and maintenance of all plant utilities

  • Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime

  • Monitor and maintain utility systems, including compressors, diesel generator (DG) sets, transformers, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, pumps, and related equipment

  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance activities according to established schedules

  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and company maintenance procedures

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment histories, and service reports

  • Coordinate with Production and other departments to support uninterrupted operations

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability and efficiency

Requirements
