  • Minimum 5 years of experience in plant maintenance within automotive or auto component industries.

Responsibilities

  • Plant & Equipment Maintenance: maintain all plant machinery, equipment, and utilities; perform breakdown maintenance; plan preventive maintenance; monitor performance and drive improvements; minimize downtime.
  • Production Support: assist operations to meet Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity targets; coordinate with production teams; review machine performance and take corrective actions.
  • TPM & Continuous Improvement: drive TPM initiatives; support zero defects and cost-reduction programs; identify productivity enhancements and Kaizen activities.
  • Team Management: allocate maintenance tasks, monitor shop floor discipline, train technicians, optimize manpower across shifts.
  • Safety, Environment & Compliance: ensure compliance with statutory requirements; implement ISO/OHSAS safety standards; promote safe work practices.
  • Documentation & Asset Management: maintain maintenance records; safeguard assets; monitor spare parts and procurement.
  • Cost Management: control maintenance costs; drive efficiency improvements and cost-reduction programs.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance Engineer to manage and maintain plant machinery, equipment, and utilities while ensuring maximum equipment availability, safety compliance, and operational efficiency. The role requires a proactive professional with strong troubleshooting abilities, preventive maintenance expertise, and experience in automotive manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities
Plant & Equipment Maintenance
  • Responsible for maintenance of all plant machinery, equipment, and utilities.
  • Perform breakdown maintenance and ensure minimum machine downtime.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance and condition-based maintenance activities.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues affecting production.
Production Support
  • Support manufacturing operations in achieving targets related to Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Productivity, and Morale.
  • Coordinate with production teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Review machine performance and initiate corrective actions when required.
TPM & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives across the plant.
  • Support BIQ, Zero Customer Complaints (Zero COC), and continuous improvement activities.
  • Identify and implement productivity enhancement and cost-reduction projects.
  • Participate in Kaizen, 5S, and operational excellence initiatives.
Team Management
  • Allocate maintenance activities through job cards and standard work instructions.
  • Monitor maintenance activities and shop floor discipline.
  • Train and develop technicians and maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower across shifts.
Safety, Environment & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain OHSAS/ISO safety standards.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure safety of personnel and machinery.
  • Support initiatives aimed at achieving zero accidents.
  • Ensure adherence to environmental standards as per ISO guidelines.
Documentation & Asset Management
  • Maintain maintenance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure proper safeguarding of company assets, equipment, software, and technical documents.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and coordinate procurement requirements.
Cost Management
  • Drive maintenance cost control and optimization initiatives.
  • Support Mission 25 and other cost-reduction programs introduced by management.
  • Improve equipment efficiency while reducing maintenance expenditure.
