Job summary

Prometo Consulting Pvt. Ltd. invites applications for experienced Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technicians to support a fully automatic production line at the Kanchipuram site.

The role requires hands-on ability in machine and utility maintenance, with exposure to turning, welding, conveyors, and cranes. The ideal candidate should hold ITI in Fitter/Electrical, or equivalent, with 4–10 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• ITI -Fitter/Electrical/Electrician qualifications required.
• Experience: 4 to 10 years.
• Job location will be Kanchipuram.
• Opening for both Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Technicians.
• Must have both machine and utility maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting in a fully automatic production line / Utility Maintenance.
• Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of all machines in the Production Dept.
• Report major problems to Maintenance Manager and help reduce turnaround time.
• First intervention of mechanical alarms, troubleshooting and defects.
• Prepare and ensure Preventive Maintenance in consultation with the Maintenance Manager.
• Able to run and operate production machines during change over periods.
• Execute workshop activities such as turning, welding, milling, power saw, etc.
• Operate all utility machines (compressors, steam generators, vacuum pumps etc.).
• Familiar with maintenance of utilities like Diesel Generator, Compressor, Fire Hydrant Pumps, and STP.
• Familiar with maintenance of Conveyor Belts, Metallic Conveyors, Overhead crane, Gear box, Exhaust fans & Chain drives.
• Hands-on experience in maintenance dept in a similar process industry.
• Ready to work with hands during emergencies & major breakdowns.
• Familiar with operation of conventional machines.
• Familiar with preventive & Predictive maintenance.
• Plan & execute Preventive maintenance and manage spares planning for all machines & critical spares stock.
• Coordinate with purchase for spares.
