Baker By Chance, a hospitality bakery brand from the RSPL group family, seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee all caf and retail outlets, kitchen equipment, MEP services, civil works, and project execution.

You will lead preventive and breakdown maintenance, manage vendors, support new store fit-outs, CAPEX projects, compliance and cost control to ensure smooth operations and an excellent customer experience across locations.

Responsabilités

• Outlet maintenance management: ensure readiness and upkeep of caf and retail outlets.
• Kitchen equipment maintenance: oversee care of coffee machines, ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, cold rooms, dishwashers, exhaust & fresh air systems.
• Retail store infrastructure maintenance: manage electrical, HVAC, DG sets, UPS, lighting, plumbing, fire safety, civil & interior works, signage.
• Projects & new store development: support fit-outs, review layouts, timelines, budgets, and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Vendor & contract management: onboard vendors, manage AMC contracts, negotiate pricing, monitor KPIs.
• Compliance & safety: ensure electrical safety, fire safety, food hygiene, local norms, and regular inspections.
• Budget & cost control: prepare budgets, monitor expenditures, identify energy-saving opportunities.

About the profile:

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, maintenance, and upkeep of all caf and retail outlets, including kitchen equipment, MEP services, civil works, and project execution. The role involves preventive and breakdown maintenance, vendor management, new store fit-outs, CAPEX projects, compliance, and cost control to ensure uninterrupted business operations and excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Outlet Maintenance Management

• Ensure operational readiness and upkeep of all caf and retail outlets.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all outlets.
• Monitor breakdown complaints and ensure timely closure.
• Conduct periodic audits to assess asset health and maintenance standards.
• Maintain service records, maintenance logs, and equipment history.

2. Kitchen Equipment Maintenance

• Oversee maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment including:
• Coffee machines
• Ovens
• Grills
• Fryers
• Refrigerators & Freezers
• Cold Rooms
• Dishwashers
• Ice Machines
• Exhaust & Fresh Air Systems
• Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for repairs and AMC management.
• Ensure minimum downtime of critical kitchen equipment.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and critical stock levels.

3. Retail Store Infrastructure Maintenance

• Manage maintenance of:
• Electrical systems
• HVAC systems
• DG Sets
• UPS Systems
• Lighting
• Plumbing
• Fire Fighting Systems
• Civil & Interior Works
• Signages
• Ensure stores meet operational, safety, and brand standards.

4. Projects & New Store Development

• Lead maintenance and engineering support for new outlet openings.
• Coordinate store fit-out activities from site handover to store launch.
• Review layouts, BOQs, drawings, and vendor proposals.
• Monitor project timelines, quality standards, and budgets.
• Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth execution of renovation and refurbishment projects.

5. Vendor & Contract Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard maintenance vendors.
• Manage AMC contracts and service agreements.
• Negotiate pricing and service levels for cost optimization.
• Monitor vendor performance through KPIs and service reviews.
• Ensure timely processing of work orders and invoices.

6. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure compliance with:
• Electrical Safety Standards
• Fire & Life Safety Regulations
• Food Safety & Hygiene Requirements
• Local Authority Norms
• Company HSE Policies
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Ensure statutory certifications are valid and renewed on time.

7. Budget & Cost Control

• Prepare annual maintenance budgets and CAPEX plans.
• Monitor maintenance expenditures against approved budgets.
• Identify energy-saving and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Track maintenance KPIs and prepare management reports.

8. Team Management

• Lead a team of technicians and maintenance coordinators.
• Allocate resources and monitor performance.
• Conduct training programs on equipment operation and maintenance practices.
• Drive a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
