Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Maintenance Leader - Drill for SK Mines in India. The role requires leading maintenance teams on underground metal mining projects, servicing and overhauling mining machines, and commissioning new equipment.

You will coordinate with workshop and site managers, ensure safety standards, manage inventory and quality control, and drive continuous improvements while maintaining strong customer relationships and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with maintenance team for underground metal mining project.
• Servicing and overhauling of Underground metal mining machines like DRILL.
• Commissioning service for new machines.
• Workshop repairs and rebuilds on machines.

Responsibilities

• Work environment: Supervising direct reports at a single customer site and handling invoicing.
• Reporting and analysis: Collaborating with planning functions and producing KPI reports.
• Quality assurance and continuous improvement: Managing inventory and inspections to ensure standards.
• Customer service and stakeholder management: Fostering relationships and guiding service delivery.
• Effective people management: Set daily goals for technicians and coordinate with management on targets.
• Safety, health, and environment: Ensure compliance and develop safety protocols.
• Execute maintenance of Sandvik equipment effectively and schedule tasks with Workshop Manager, Planner, Site Manager and customer.

Key performance areas

• Work environment: Customer Contract Site Supervises direct reports working at a single customer site and handles invoicing for that customer. Service Operations Management: Supervising equipment maintenance, providing technical support, and managing the team budget to ensure efficient operations and profitability.
• Reporting and Analysis: Collaborating with planning functions, producing key performance reports, and using data analysis for operational efficiency and KPI establishment.
• Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Managing inventory, establishing quality assurance processes, and conducting regular inspections to ensure standards are met and improvements are made.
• Customer Service and Stakeholder Management: Fostering customer relationships, resolving inquiries, guiding the team in service delivery, and improving the customer service process.
• Effective People Management: Set daily goals for service technicians and support staff, collaborating with higher management to meet team targets, and addressing straightforward issues. It also includes providing individual performance feedback and managing the entire employee lifecycle. The supervisor ensures that team members, customers, and stakeholders understand and adhere to relevant policies, practices, and procedures.
• Safety, Health, and Environment Effectiveness: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, developing safety protocols, conducting staff training, and addressing safety incidents and near misses.
• Execute maintenance of Sandvik equipment's effectively and schedule associated tasks along with Workshop Manager, Planer, Site Manager and customer.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
