Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Maintenance Leader - Drill for the SK Mines to manage maintenance at an underground metal mining site. You will supervise the maintenance team, coordinate servicing and overhauls, and ensure safe, efficient operation while meeting KPIs and customer expectations.

You will work closely with site managers, plan tasks, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery and inventory control within Sandvik's safety-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• Experience in working with maintenance team for underground metal mining project.
• Ability to commission and service new machines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team at a single customer site and manage invoicing.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure KPI targets.
• Coordinate safety, quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Plan and schedule service tasks with site managers and workshop staff.
• Provide technical support and budget oversight for service operations.

Required Role: MAINTENANCE LEADER- DRILL for SK Mines.

• Experience in working with maintenance team for underground metal mining project.
• Servicing and overhauling of Underground metal mining machines like DRILL
• Commissioning service for new machines.
• Workshop repairs and rebuilds on machines.

Key performance areas

• Work environment: Customer Contract Site
  Supervises direct reports working at a single customer site and handles invoicing for that customer. Service Operations Management: Supervising equipment maintenance, providing technical support, and managing the team budget to ensure efficient operations and profitability.
• Reporting and Analysis: Collaborating with planning functions, producing key performance reports, and using data analysis for operational efficiency and KPI establishment.
• Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement: Managing inventory, establishing quality assurance processes, and conducting regular inspections to ensure standards are met and improvements are made.
• Customer Service and Stakeholder Management: Fostering customer relationships, resolving inquiries, guiding the team in service delivery, and improving the customer service process.
• Effective People Management: Set daily goals for service technicians and support staff, collaborating with higher management to meet team targets, and addressing straightforward issues. It also includes providing individual performance feedback and managing the entire employee lifecycle. The supervisor ensures that team members, customers, and stakeholders understand and adhere to relevant policies, practices, and procedures.
• Safety, Health, and Environment Effectiveness: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, developing safety protocols, conducting staff training, and addressing safety incidents and near misses.
• Execute maintenance of Sandvik equipment's effectively and schedule associated tasks along with Workshop Manager, Planer, Site Manager and customer.

• Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
