Job summary

JobItUs in Sachin - Surat (Gujarat) seeks a Maintenance Head to lead the chemical plant's mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utility maintenance. The role requires 10–15 years of experience in chemical plant maintenance and a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical.

You will plan preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, drive uptime, manage spares, contractors and budget, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while coordinating with Production, EHS, Projects and Purchase teams.

Qualifications

• B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical engineering is required.
• Experience in chemical plant maintenance preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and utility maintenance of the chemical plant.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Maximise equipment availability and minimise plant downtime.
• Maintain reactors, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, dryers, boilers, chillers and utilities.
• Lead plant shutdowns, equipment overhauls and maintenance projects.
• Conduct RCA, implement corrective actions and manage maintenance budget.

Responsibilities:

• Handle overall Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Utility maintenance of the chemical plant.
• Plan and monitor preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
• Ensure maximum equipment availability and minimize plant downtime.
• Handle maintenance of reactors, pumps, compressors, centrifuges, dryers, boilers, chillers and other plant utilities.
• Lead plant shutdown, equipment overhauling and maintenance projects.
• Conduct breakdown analysis, RCA and implement corrective actions.
• Manage maintenance manpower, spares, contractors and maintenance budget.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, EHS, Projects and Purchase departments.
• Monitor maintenance KPIs such as downtime, MTBF, MTTR and maintenance cost.
