Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical power presses.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical power presses and pneumatic equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems including cylinders, valves, FRL units, and air leaks.
• Maintain hydraulic and lubrication systems where applicable.
• Attend machine breakdowns and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure maximum machine availability.
• Maintain maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure compliance with machine safety standards and LOTO procedures.
• Support installation, commissioning, and modification of new machines.
• Monitor machine performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to improve efficiency.

Job description

• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical power presses, pneumatic presses, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems, including:
• Pneumatic cylinders and actuators.
• Directional control valves (5/2, 3/2, 5/3).
• FRL units, regulators, and lubricators.
• Solenoid valves and pneumatic circuits.
• Air leakage and pressure-related problems.
• Handle maintenance of power presses, including:
• Mechanical power presses.
• Clutch and brake systems.
• Flywheel and crankshaft assemblies.
• Connecting rods and slide mechanisms.
• Press alignment and lubrication systems.
• Attend machine breakdowns and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
• Carry out periodic inspection of press machines and pneumatic equipment.
• Maintain hydraulic and lubrication systems wherever applicable.
• Monitor machine performance and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
