Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Performed preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of welding fixtures to ensure uninterrupted production and maximum equipment availability.
• Maintained and repaired welding fixtures, clamps, locator pins, pneumatic cylinders, and mechanical components used in automotive weld shop operations.
• Diagnosed and resolved fixture-related issues through root cause analysis (RCA), minimizing downtime and improving production efficiency.
• Carried out fixture alignment, calibration, and dimensional verification to maintain weld quality and product accuracy.
• Coordinated with production, quality, and manufacturing teams to support new model implementation, process improvements, and continuous production.
• Inspected and replaced worn or damaged fixture components, including bushes, pins, clamps, and pneumatic parts, to maintain equipment reliability.
• Executed Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities, autonomous maintenance support, and 5S practices to improve workplace efficiency.
• Maintained maintenance records, equipment history, and spare parts inventory using maintenance management systems and standard documentation.
• Ensured compliance with safety standards, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and company quality systems during all maintenance activities.
• Supported continuous improvement initiatives, Kaizen activities, and cycle time reduction projects to enhance overall equipment performance and productivity.
• Worked with robotic and manual welding fixtures in automotive body shop environments, ensuring consistent fixture performance and weld quality.
