Job summary

Deutsche Bank in Pune, India is seeking a Mainframe manual QA Engineer at AVP level to join Investments - agile teams. You will design, develop, and execute test scripts for mainframe apps, collaborating with Devs, BAs, and QA to ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role emphasizes functional and regression testing, test automation initiatives, and clear documentation. Prior experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/SQL, MQ and hands-on automation with Selenium/UFT/TOSCA is desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in mainframe with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/SQL & MQ.
• Hands-on test automation experience with Selenium/UFT/TOSCA.
• Familiarity with ALM, Jira and Confluence is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and regression testing.
• Experience in Agile/SCRUM environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Test Script Creation and Maintenance: Develop and update mainframe regression tests.
• Test Execution and Analysis: Run scripts and identify defects for improvement.
• Collaboration: Work with BAs, Devs and QA to align requirements and outcomes.

Job Title- Mainframe manual QA Engineer, AVP

Location- Pune, India

Role Description

Our Investments - agile teams at Deutsche Bank - Private Bank (TDI) develop and maintain applications for securities business of Private Customers. Changes are generally announced on short notice due to regulatory requirements or time to market challenges. Quality and stability has priority together with time to market. We are seeking a skilled Mainframe manual test Engineer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing test scripts specifically for mainframe applications. This role involves collaborating with Development, Business Analysts and QA teams to create automation tests, identify and resolve issues, and ensure quality and performance of mainframe-based applications.

Your key responsibilities

• Test Script Creation and Maintenance: Perform functional tests & develop automated test scripts for regression tests in mainframe environments. Continuous improvement and updating of existing tests.
• Test Execution and Analysis: Execute test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with Business analysts, Test/Product managers and Developers to understand application requirements and use cases.
• Documentation and Reporting: Document test cases, scripts, and processes.

Your Skills and Experience

• Technical Proficiency: Experience in mainframe with COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2/SQL & MQ. Experience with test automation tools (Selenium/UFT/TOSCA) and ALM, Jira, Confluence will be an added advantage.
• Quality Assurance and Testing: Understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional and regression testing.
• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues within test automation frameworks and scripts.
• Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Agile/SCRUM environment including agile tooling and methodology together with Knowledge of investment business and its operations.
