Job summary

FIS in Bengaluru is seeking a Mainframe Developer to contribute to design and maintenance of a core lending product for the Auto Finance domain. You will work on COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and CICS within agile delivery teams to implement reliable, scalable solutions.

The role requires 1–3 years in mainframe development and knowledge of banking/lending processes. On-call production support and Agile Scrum exposure are a plus, with opportunities for growth and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM and CICS in mainframe development.
• Solid knowledge of Banking/Lending domain.
• Agile Scrum experience is a plus.
• Experience with on-call production support is beneficial.

About the team

Our team develops the core lending product for Auto Finance industry. We serve clients from various geographies and is responsible for every functional/business aspect of a lending / leasing portfolio.

What you will be doing

• Contributes to the design of complex applications, considering various intricacies to create advanced application structures that align with project requirements.
• Examines software configurations to ensure the accurate setup, functionality, and ongoing maintenance of intricate software programs.
• Analyzes complex and multifaceted user requirements for software solutions, discerning intricate user needs to inform the development and design of software applications.
• Applies practical technical knowledge to execute complex development tasks in order to optimize software engineering processes.

What you bring:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS in Mainframe application development with good grasp in mainframe tools
• Must have good knowledge on Banking/ Lending Domain
• Systematics ALS experience would be an added advantage.
• On-call production support experience would be an added advantage, but not essential to the role.
• Agile Scrum experience would be an added advantage.
• Experienced with all major development and delivery phases and activities.
• Has participated in the full spectrum of delivery activities on multiple development projects.
• Ability to explore new age technology improvement/ automation is desirable.
