Job summary

FIS in Pune is seeking a Mainframe - Batch Operations specialist to ensure continuity of batch processing and SLA adherence. You will monitor batch jobs, file transfers, and utilize CA7 scheduling, NDM, and JCL to support Capital Markets products clients.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and the ability to work in a 24/7 environment with good Excel skills and familiarity with log parsing tools like JIRA, SNOW, RMF, and CA7.

Qualifications

• Ensures procedures are followed and maintained documentation.
• Stay updated on module/system enhancements and apply knowledge to tasks.

Mainframe - Batch Operations

This role is to ensuring the continuity of Batch operations work and meeting service level agreements. Employee will be responsible for batch monitoring tools , expertise in CA7 scheduling, NDM , JCL .

What you will be doing

• Collaborate in a team environment. Deliver quality customer service. Consultative and team-oriented.
• Knows the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures required for the field of specialization i.e mainframe ( JIRA/SNOW/ JHS etc). - Good working knowledge of excel, macros, VBA.
• Contribute/share ideas and information. Effective oral and written communication
• Ability to monitor and elevate system issues impacting services for customers utilizing monitoring technologies.
• Ready to work in 24/7 environment
• Ability to monitor batch execution and file transfers to meet commitments with clients
• Ability to monitor multiple applications and data transfer protocols to meet customer needs. - Recognize problems and issues. Act quickly to carryout appropriate decisions. Exhibit effective problem solving skills
• Proficient 24/7 support troubleshooting
• Good working knowledge of Excel (lookup formulas, pivot table and charts)
• Knowledge of log parsing tools (eg. JIRA, SNOW, RMF, CA7 )
• Knowledge of jobs scheduling, monitoring tools and troubleshooting job failures
