Job summary

LTM in Hyderabad is seeking a Mainframe Developer to join our enterprise IT team. You will design, code, and test core business applications using COBOL, JCL and CICS to support critical processes.

You will work with DB2 and VSAM to manage data, optimize queries, and ensure reliable batch and online systems. Collaboration with business analysts and QA will help deliver robust solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in COBOL with hands-on coding for core business logic.
• Strong knowledge of JCL for batch job scheduling and execution.
• Experience with CICS for online realtime screens and transactions.
• Solid DB2 skills including SQL querying and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with VSAM file organization and data management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and update COBOL and JCL code for business applications.
• Create and support realtime online screens using CICS.
• Design, implement, and maintain DB2 databases and VSAM files.
• Perform unit testing and debugging to identify and fix defects.

Job Description

• Application Development Write and update clean efficient code using COBOL and JCL
• Online Transactions Create and manage realtime userfacing screens using CICS
• Data Management Design and maintain databases using DB2 and organize files with VSAM
• Testing and Debugging Run unit tests and use debugging tools to find and fix code errors
• System Maintenance Monitor scheduled tasks and quickly fix any system crashes or job failures
• Collaboration Work closely with business analysts testers and other teams to understand system requirements

Required Technical Skills

• COBOL Strong handson programming experience for core business logic
• JCL Deep knowledge of writing scripts to manage and run batch jobs
• CICS Experience creating and supporting online realtime user screens
• DB2 Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for relational databases
• VSAM Handson experience managing file structure
