Qualifications

• 5+ years of mainframe experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of FOCUS, SORT, ICETOOL, and COBOL.
• Experience with IBM Developer ZOS (IDZ) and VS Code is necessary.
• Previous involvement in design decisions and production job troubleshooting is essential.
• Ability to investigate emergency issues and provide timely updates.

Role & responsibilities

: Mainframe, JCL, SORT, ICETOOL, FOCUS(Mandatory), GitHub Copilot, VSAM,DB2

• Associate to have a mainframe experience of 5 or more years.
• Should have good working Experience in FOCUS, SORT, ICETOOL and COBOL.
• Must have knowledge and experience in using the tools like IBM Developer ZOS (IDZ), VS Code, JIRA, Confluence, GitHub Copilot, Mural (Optional),
• Should have an experience in providing design decisions, solving production job failures, implementing a medium to major projects into production.
• Should be able to investigate any emergency issues or production problems and provide updates to business and other stakeholders. In case of any quick data fixes are required to address any batch job failure during night batch, should be able to write quick SORT/FOCUS/ICETOOL to fix the bad data and provide instructions to continue with night batch flow.
• Should have knowledge in creating and managing VSAM datasets and logic for reading/writing data from VSAM files.
• Having knowledge on how to create diagram on tools like Visio / Lucidchart etc.. is an added advantage
• Must be vocal and able to work in fast paced environment
• Must have past experience in deployment activities and participation in implementation planning
