Job summary

People Prime Worldwide is seeking an experienced System Administrator with DB2 for z/OS expertise. You will install, configure and maintain DB2 subsystems, plan migrations, manage data sharing, and ensure disaster recovery readiness across complex environments.

You will also optimize performance, support incident response, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on modernization initiatives and cloud transitions. Strong problem-solving and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in DB2 for z/OS administration including installation, configuration and data sharing.
• Expertise in DB2 performance tuning, buffer pool optimization, SQL diagnostics and utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, RECOVER).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, z/OS internals, SMF/RMF analysis and problem determination.
• Knowledge of change and release management in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX and public/private cloud management including migrations.
• IBM Certified Database Administrator Db2 for Z/OS certification preferred; knowledge of Db2 tools (OMEGAMON, MainView).
• Familiarity with automation tools (REXX, CLIST, Ansible) and IaC.
• Awareness of DevOps, CI/CD, z/OSMF, IBM Z, Parallel Sysplex, GDPS and high-availability solutions.
• Experience with vulnerability management, Active Directory and ADFS; strong analytical and stakeholder skills.

As a System Administrator at firm, you'll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum Of platforms and services. Preferred candidate profile

• Required Technical and professional Expertise experience in DB2 for z/OS Administration, including installation, configuration, data sharing, and SMP/E maintenance.
• Expertise in DB2 performance tuning, buffer pool optimization, SQL diagnostics, and database utilities (REORG, RUNSTATS, copy, RECOVER).
• Experience with disaster recovery planning, z/OS internals, SMF/RMF analysis, and problem determination.
• Knowledge of change and release management processes in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019, VMware ESX, and public/private cloud management, including to cloud migrations.
• preferred Technical and Professional Experience IBM Certified Database Administrator Db2 for ZIOS certification. Experience with IBM Db2 Tools, OMEGAMON, BMC MainView, or CA Database Management solutions.
