Dynpro is seeking a seasoned DB2 z/OS DBA in Nagpur District, Maharashtra, India. The role focuses on database administration, performance analysis, and solid problem-solving skills.

The candidate will manage DB2 utilities, table spaces, and data refresh between systems, while aligning with Agile methodologies and change management processes. Strong communication is essential for cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on DB2 zOS database administration experience.
• Strong DB2 database management skills with JCL and VSAM.
• Exposure to SAS or Rex for automation is a plus.
• Familiar with IMS DBA is beneficial.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with change management processes, preferably ServiceNow.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze database state from space and performance perspectives.
• Perform DB2 utilities: Load, Unload, Image copy, Reorg, etc.
• Analyze tablespaces for space and performance.
• Write and optimize SQL queries.
• Refresh databases between systems as needed.
• Show good understanding of Agile practices.

Job description

Required Skills & Knowledge

• * More than 6+ years hands-on experience in DB2 zOS database administration
• * Hands on experience in DB2 Database Management area (DB2 apps DBA) with Medium to Advanced knowledge of JCL, VSAM and preferred if knowledge of SAS or Rex for automation
• * Exposure to IMS DBA would be a value add
• * Good analytical skills and ability to troubleshoot
• * Familiar with change management processes- Service Now
• * Good Communication Skills

• * Analyzing Database State (both Space and Performance wise)
