Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Mainframe CICS administrator / System Programmer located in Bangalore/Mumbai. The role requires 7-15 years of experience in Mainframe CICS administration and strong vendor support knowledge.

The candidate will manage CICS MRO environments, security configuration with ACF2, and support web services within the CICS stack, including monitoring tools Tivoli/Omegamon.

Qualifications

• Must have strong IBM/vendor support experience and ability to handle open problem cases, request dumps and share findings.
• SMP/E – in depth knowledge to perform install work on CICS and related products.
• Security – deep ACF2 expertise with ability to install security on CICS and create ACF2 rules for CICS.
• SMF – ability to gather and manipulate SMF data (CICS 110 records).
• Problem determination skills to diagnose issues and identify root cause.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of a CICS MRO environment (TOR and AOR configuration).
• Security – implement and manage ACF2 on CICS and related products.
• Web Services – create and support web services within CICS.
• CICS admin is responsible for installing and maintaining monitoring tools like Tivoli/Omegamon.

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Must-Have

• IBM/vendor support – familiar with IBM and other vendors web sites: Open problem cases, ask questions, prepare and send dumps.
• SMP/E – in depth knowledge to do install work on CICS and any associated products
• Security – in depth knowledge of ACF2 (must be able to install security on CICS and associated products and create ACF2 security rules as they pertain to CICS)
• SMF – moderate skill set required to gather and manipulate SMF data (specifically the CICS 110 records)
• Problem determination skills – ability to diagnose problem and determine root cause and remediation

Good-to-Have

• SDS – CAFC (CICS application file control) – install product and use for control of files, application lists and group lists. Assist Operators when needed on use and problem determination if applications are failing.
• Trillium and Code1 software – aid in installation and day to day management of software
• Compuware products specifically File-aid – proficient at manipulation of files through file-aid software
