Job summary

WPP Enterprise Solutions is seeking a senior Magento Architect to lead large-scale Magento deployments. You will design system architectures, guide integration with third-party tools, and oversee distributed server applications.

The role requires deep Magento expertise, strong leadership, and excellent communication across technical and business stakeholders. The opportunity is based in India with a focus on delivering scalable growth platforms for global clients.

Qualifications

• Overall 12+ years of experience.
• 9+ years of Magento development.
• 3+ years of Magento 2 development.
• 9+ years of PHP development.
• 9+ years of MySQL experience.
• 5+ years managing technical/business teams (customer-facing).
• Architect for at least 3+ Magento implementations.
• Experience with Magento 2.3.x–2.4.x.
• Experience with SOAP/REST/GraphQL web services.
• Experience with Git and branching strategies.
• Mature knowledge of Magento native features & configurations.
• Expert in Composer and Magento integrations.
• Familiarity with other ecommerce platforms.
• Strong design, problem-solving and quality mindset.
• Experience building large distributed server apps.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to lead third-party integrations (payments, analytics).
• Ability to document business processes with UML/flow diagrams.
• Strong presentation skills for technical and business audiences.
• Architectural landscape definition and gap analysis.
• Knowledge of AWS, Azure or similar cloud infra.
• Excellent database design/implementation skills.

The opportunity

• Overall 12+ years of Experience
• 9+ years of experience with Magento development
• 3+ years of experience with Magento 2 development
• 9+ years of experience with PHP development
• 9+ years of experience with Mysql,
• 5+ years managing technical and/or business teams in customer-facing function
• Should have worked as an Architect for at least 3+ Magento Implementations
• Experience working with Magento 2.3.x to 2.4.x
• Experience with web services (SOAP, RESTful, GraphQL)
• Experience with Version Control Systems like GIT
• Knowledge of different branching strategies
• Be well versed with Magento native features and respective configurations
• Expert knowledge of Composer
• Have experience integrating Magento with other applications/tools
• Familiarity with other ecommerce platforms
• Have great design and problem-solving skills, passion for quality and engineering excellence at scale
• Experience building and designing large-scale server applications in a distributed environment
• Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in preparing and reviewing technical specification documents.
• Be able to lead integration with third party like payment gateways, analytical tools, marketing agencies Languages
• Experience in documenting business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc
• Have strong presentation skills; skilled and effective at presenting to both technical and business audiences
• Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure etc
• Excellent database design and implementation skills
