Job summary

WPP Enterprise Solutions seeks a Senior Magento Architect with 12+ years of experience to lead design and delivery of large‑scale Magento platforms. You will guide Magento implementations, integrate with external systems, and mentor teams across multiple client engagements.

Expect extensive hands‑on work on Magento 2, PHP, MySQL, and cloud infrastructure. Strong communication, architecture, and leadership skills are essential to drive quality and scale.

Qualifications

• Overall 12+ years of experience.
• 9+ years of experience with Magento development.
• 3+ years of experience with Magento 2 development.
• 9+ years of experience with PHP development.
• 9+ years of experience with Mysql.
• 5+ years managing technical and/or business teams in customer-facing function.
• Architect for at least 3+ Magento Implementations.
• Experience with Magento 2.3.x to 2.4.x.
• Experience with web services (SOAP, RESTful, GraphQL).
• Experience with Version Control Systems like GIT.
• Knowledge of branching strategies.
• Magento native features and configurations knowledge.
• Expert knowledge of Composer.
• Experience integrating Magento with other applications/tools.
• Familiarity with other ecommerce platforms.
• Strong design and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in documenting business processes and wireframes using UML, etc.
• Strong presentation skills; able to present to technical and business audiences.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure.
• Excellent database design and implementation skills.

• Should have worked as an Architect for at least 3+ Magento Implementations
• Experience working with Magento 2.3.x to 2.4.x
• Experience with web services (SOAP, RESTful, GraphQL)
• Experience with Version Control Systems like GIT
• Knowledge of different branching strategies
• Be well versed with Magento native features and respective configurations
• Expert knowledge of Composer
• Have experience integrating Magento with other applications/tools
• Familiarity with other ecommerce platforms
• Have great design and problem-solving skills, passion for quality and engineering excellence at scale
• Experience building and designing large-scale server applications in a distributed environment
• Excellent oral and written communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in preparing and reviewing technical specification documents.
• Be able to lead integration with third party like payment gateways, analytical tools Languages
• Experience in documenting business processes and wireframing system designs using process flow diagram tools, UML, sequence diagrams, etc Have strong presentation skills; skilled and effective at presenting to both technical and business audiences
• Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable achievement of the desired business outcomes
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure platforms like AWS, Azure etc
• Excellent database design and implementation skills
