Job summary

Sudisa Foundry in Pithampur, Indore district, is seeking a Head of Machine Shop to lead end-to-end machining operations, drive productivity, quality, and cost optimization while coordinating with PPC, Foundry, and Maintenance teams.

The candidate should have 15–20 years of experience in machining and a strong background in CNC, VMC, HMC, and grinding, with solid GD&T knowledge and a track record of Lean initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of relevant experience in Machine Shop / Manufacturing.
• Strong experience in managing a medium/large-scale machining operation.
• Hands-on knowledge of CNC, VMC, HMC, grinding and machining of castings/components.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, fixtures, process planning and machining parameters.
• Proven experience in improving OEE, productivity, quality and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Machine Shop operations and achieve production targets.
• Manage CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, CNC Grinding and conventional machining operations.
• Drive OEE, productivity, machine utilization and capacity optimization.
• Ensure on-time delivery in coordination with PPC, Foundry, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch.
• Reduce cycle time, setup time, rejection and rework.
• Optimize cutting tools, fixtures, machining parameters and processes.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Kaizen, 5S and continuous improvement
• Support new machine installation, capacity expansion, automation and process improvement projects.
• Monitor and control machining conversion cost and operating expenses.

• Experience in Foundry, Auto Components, Tractor/Agricultural Equipment, Construction Equipment or Heavy Engineering will be preferred.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving and cross‑functional coordination skills.
