Job summary

TekWissen Group is seeking a hands-on M365 Senior Consultant for a contract backfill in India. You will work onsite to implement and maintain the existing M365 strategy across Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Purview, guiding delivery teams with practical, technical guidance.

Ideal candidates are autonomous, comfortable working across multiple workstreams, and able to escalate only for architectural or organizational risk, while keeping governance and security

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive.
• Experience in Entra ID (identity and Conditional Access).
• Purview knowledge for DLP and sensitivity labels.

Responsibilities

• Work daily across M365 tools (Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive).
• Provide practical, technically sound guidance to delivery teams.
• Ensure requests align with existing standards, governance and long-term direction.
• Serve as the technical SME for M365 decisions.
• Push back on non-standard requests and manage issues without escalation.

• We need a senior, hands-on M365 consultant to keep the platform and stakeholders aligned to an existing strategy and roadmap.
• This person should be able to operate independently, guide stakeholders, and only escalation when there is a genuine architectural or organisation-wide impact decision required.

Role Overview

• Senior Microsoft 365 Consultant (contract backfill, 6-12 months)
• Enterprise environment
• Hands-on role (not strategy or leadership)
• Responsible for maintaining alignment to an already defined M365 strategy

What They ll Be Doing

• Working on the tools daily across M365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Entra ID, Purview)
• Supporting delivery teams and stakeholders with practical, technically sound guidance
• Reviewing requests and solutions to ensure they align with:
  • Existing standards
  • Governance and security controls
  • Long-term platform direction
• Acting as the go-to technical SME for M365 queries and decisions
• Pushing back on misaligned or non-standard requests
• Managing and resolving issues without defaulting to escalation

Escalation Expectation (Critical)

• Escalation should be infrequent and intentional
• Only elevate when:
  • A design change is required
  • There is architectural impact
  • There is organisation-wide risk or decision needed
• All escalations should come with clear context and recommended options

What we need to see from you Key Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience across:
  • Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, OneDrive
  • Entra ID (identity, Conditional Access)
  • Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels - working knowledge)
• Experience in enterprise M365 environments (2k+ users preferred)
• Background as a Senior Consultant / Engineer
• Comfortable working across multiple workstreams simultaneously
