Qualifications

• Bachelors in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field.
• CA/CFA/MBA preferred.
• 5–8 years in FP&A, strategy, corporate development, or investment banking.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis.
• Fintech/payments and high-growth tech experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel with complex modeling and VBA.
• SQL knowledge and data visualization (Tableau/Power BI).

About the Team

The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team at PayU plays a critical role in driving strategic financial decisions across our rapidly growing fintech ecosystem. As part of PayUs finance organization, our team works closely with business leaders to provide insights that fuel growth, optimize performance, and enable data-driven decision making. We support multiple business verticals including payments, lending, and other financial services across emerging markets. The team is known for its collaborative culture, analytical rigor, and ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insights. About the Role

We are seeking a strategic-minded Senior Manager to join our FP&A team in Gurgaon, reporting directly to the Head of FP&A. This role is perfect for a finance professional who thrives at the intersection of financial planning and business strategy. Youll be responsible for identifying and evaluating new growth initiatives, building comprehensive financial models, and partnering with cross-functional teams to drive strategic projects from conception to execution. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing financial insights that shape key business decisions while maintaining a hands‑on approach to analysis and planning.

Responsibilities:

• Lead financial planning and analysis for new business initiatives and strategic growth opportunities
• Develop comprehensive business cases and financial models for strategic investments and new market entries
• Own annual planning process and quarterly forecasting for assigned business units
• Conduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to support strategic decision-making
• Build and maintain dynamic financial models for scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
• Monitor key performance indicators and provide regular variance analysis to leadership
• Prepare executive-level reports and presentations for senior management and board meetings
• Partner with product, technology, and operations teams on new initiative planning and evaluation
• Provide financial guidance on pricing strategies, product launches, and business development deals
• Support M&A evaluation processes and due diligence activities
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive special projects from conception to execution
• Identify opportunities to enhance financial reporting and planning processes
• Implement automation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial workflows
• Act as finance liaison for strategic initiatives across multiple business verticals
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to overall team development

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• CA/CFA/MBA preferred
• 5-8 years of experience in financial planning, strategy, corporate development, or investment banking
• Strong background in financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis
• Experience in fintech, payments, and high-growth technology companies preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Excel including complex modeling and VBA capabilities
• Experience with financial planning tools such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial databases
• Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• Strong business acumen with ability to understand complex business models
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level interactions
• Proven ability to work effectively in fast‑paced, dynamic environments
