Job summary

Capgemini in Chennai invites a talented Transport / Logistics professional to join our logistics planning team. You will plan inbound and outbound shipments, optimize routes, and coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics or related field.
• Experience with SAP, OTM, Power BI or other TMS tools.
• Experience in all modes of transport (Air, Ocean and Road) and Warehousing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute inbound and outbound transportation activities
• Optimize routes, loads, and carrier allocation
• Manage shipments in TMS (OTM, SAP TM)
• Track shipments and handle exceptions proactively
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and suppliers
• Perform freight audit and validate invoices
• Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization
• Prepare reports and analyse KPIs
• Maintain master data accuracy
• Ensure SOP and regulatory compliance

We are seeking a talented and driven Transport / Logistics with experience to manage transportation planning, execution, and optimization activities. The role focuses on ensuring efficient shipment movement, cost control, and high service levels through strong coordination with carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.
