Job summary

Smartbox Lockers is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the packaging, dispatch, and movement of locker systems, components, and spare parts across India and international markets. The role will identify and coordinate with suitable logistics, packaging, warehousing, freight-forwarding, and customs-clearance partners.

You will coordinate with production, procurement, finance, sales, and service delivery teams, and handle invoices, shipping documents, and cost control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain.
• Experience handling domestic and international shipments.
• Knowledge of customs clearance and import/export docs.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, coordination, and documentation skills.
• Experience with industrial equipment or large hardware preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from packaging to final delivery.
• Develop secure, cost-effective packaging, crating, and palletization methods.
• Identify and onboard service providers across India and international markets.
• Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, customs agents, and warehouses.
• Obtain and compare quotations; monitor costs.
• Prepare invoices, packing lists, e-way bills, and customs docs.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, or shortages.
• Maintain shipment records, POD, and provider performance.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, finance, sales, and service teams.

Job Summary

The role will also involve identifying and coordinating with suitable logistics, packaging, warehousing, freight-forwarding, and customs-clearance partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from packaging and dispatch through final delivery.
• Support the development of secure and cost-effective packaging, crating, palletization, and loading methods.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate with, and onboard suitable service providers across India and international markets.
• Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, customs agents, warehouses, installation partners, and customers.
• Obtain and compare quotations and monitor packaging, freight, and transportation costs.
• Prepare and verify invoices, packing lists, e-way bills, shipping documents, insurance documents, and customs paperwork.
• Track shipments and resolve delays, damages, shortages, and delivery-related issues.
• Maintain shipment records, proof of delivery, cost reports, and service provider performance records.
• Coordinate with production, procurement, finance, sales, and service delivery teams.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain, procurement, or shipment coordination.
• Experience handling domestic and international shipments.
• Practical knowledge of industrial packaging, wooden crating, palletization, and safe transportation.
• Strong sourcing, negotiation, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Thorough understanding of customs clearance and import-export documentation.
• Experience handling industrial equipment, electronics, machinery, or large hardware products will be preferred.
