IDFC First Bank Limited seeks a Location Manager for Gold Loans to scale lending in a designated area, optimize distribution channels, and collaborate with Retail, Operations, and IT to deliver superior customer experiences.

The role focuses on expanding branch banking, improving service metrics, and driving AUM growth while maintaining regulatory compliance. Previous gold loan/secured lending experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in gold loans or secured lending.
• Experience in scaling distribution channels and branch banking.
• Strong collaboration with Retail, Operations and IT to drive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify branches and potential locations for gold loan business by market survey and competition mapping.
• Increase distribution by adding channels for gold loan alongside branch banking.
• Provide best-in-class service by minimizing disbursal and closure TAT to win repeat borrowers.
• Grow AUM per targets and ensure revenue, cost, profitability and portfolio quality goals.
• Recruit dedicated manpower for gold loans (officers/territory managers) in branches.
• Collaborate with Product team to offer optimal funding solutions and ensure proper incentives.
• Ensure timely renewals of gold loan customers and minimize losses of existing customers.
• Manage valuer relationships and ensure timely swaps of valuers/agencies.
• Train officers on potential fraud and fraud ornaments.
• Cross-sell and PSL targets for self and team.
• Ensure internal compliances & regulatory adherence across the business.

Function/ Department: Gold loan

Job Purpose

The role entails scaling up the business & distribution of Gold Loan lending for a designated area by delivering banking needs to the customers in the most cost efficient and technology effective manner.

Role will closely collaborate with Retail team -Operations, Retail Liability team & IT, for same. This role encapsulates the responsibility of providing a seamless and fulfilling customer experience and ensuring IDFC First becomes the primary bank for all banking needs.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Identification of branches and potential location for gold loan business basis market survey, competition mapping with NBFC's and Banks and the volume generated by them.
• Increasing the distribution channel by identifying various channels for gold loan along with branch banking.
• Ensure we give best in class service to the Customers by Minimize the disbursal TAT and Closure TAT so that he can be converted and be willing to take gold loan again from us.
• Ensure GLO productivity of Minium 40- 50 lacs per month on new business and 80% generals to be done on eligible customers.
• Recruiting dedicated manpower for gold loans i.e., gold loan officers/Territory managers/ Area Sales heads in branches for customer acquisition.
• Grow the AUM as per target defined and ensure that the overall revenue, cost, profitability, and portfolio quality targets are met.
• Collaborate with the Product team to ensure that the customers are offered the best-in-class solutions funding/multifunding requirements and key DSTs are appropriately incentivized.
• Ensuring renewals of gold loan customers are done on a timely basis and bank doesn’t losses these set of customers.
• Keep a close tab on Valuers and ensure that valuer's /Agencies are swapped on a time-to-time basis.
• Ensure close relationship with valuer and Valuation agencies.
• Training to gold loan officers on potential fraud and fraud Ornaments.
• Ensure Cross sell targets & PSL targets are archived for self and team.
• Ensure the successful adoption of internal compliances & regulatory framework across the business.
• This role will report to ASM/State Head- Gold loans.

Post-graduation: MBA, PGDM

Experience

5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
