Job summary

Embitel Technologies in India is seeking a Load & Performance Test Engineer with strong JMeter expertise and Java programming skills to design, execute, and optimize performance tests. Expectations

Strong understanding of software quality practices, test automation, and performance testing methodologies. Ability to analyze requirements, identify risks and gaps, and contribute proactively during refinement and planning sessions. Good knowledge of system architecture and ability to investigate issues using logs, monitoring, and observability tools. Strong programming skills in Java and experience building maintainable automation solutions. Experience with performance testing concepts, including workload design, baseline definition, bottleneck analysis, and optimization. Ability to work independently within a self-organized team and collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders. Quality-focused mindset with attention to test coverage, documentation, and continuous improvement.

Tasks

Test user stories delivered by the team and implement automated tests to ensure high-quality releases. Analyze new requirements, identify potential risks, define test approaches, and contribute to story refinement. Review Pull Requests, verify code quality, and ensure sufficient unit test coverage. Design, document, and maintain functional and automated test scenarios. Identify gaps in test coverage and implement additional tests where required. Investigate customer issues using Azure, application logs, and observability platforms. Develop and maintain automation scripts. Design and execute performance tests using JMeter. Define baseline performance metrics and evaluate system performance against expected results. Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations for improvements. Support application performance optimization through analysis, reporting, and collaboration with engineering teams.
