Job summary

Embitel Technologies is a Volkswagen Group subsidiary providing automotive embedded solutions and digital transformation services. We are seeking an experienced BSP Tester to drive end-to-end testing of infotainment systems and embedded platforms.

The candidate will leverage LTP-DDT (Linux) and VTS (Android), work with HW/SW teams, and contribute to test automation using Python. Strong knowledge of CAN/LIN, UDS, and ASPICE is valued, with collaboration across global locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BSP Testing with hands-on LTP-DDT (Linux) and VTS (Android).
• Experience in Software Integration Test (SWIT) and System Integration Test (SIT).
• Ability to interpret hardware schematics and software design documents.
• Translating UML sequence diagrams into embedded systems test cases.
• Strong experience with embedded software and hardware debugging tools.

Responsibilities

• Good exposure on BSP testing activities, ensuring proper integration of hardware and software in infotainment system.
• Hands-on experience with LTP-DDT/Linux and VTS(Android) to ensure system operates across various hardware platforms.
• Understand network switch rule testing, network management and network diagnostics and S2R Testing.
• Exposure to Infotainment Systems and CAN, UDS, Vehicle Functions & Diagnostics, Media, Audio, and Tuner.
• Write, execute, and maintain test cases based on architecture elements and requirements, ensuring coverage after every release.
• Automate test cases using Python, enhancing testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, designers, testers, and managers across locations to ensure successful integration and testing.
• Perform detailed analysis of reported problems, bugs, and defects; track issues and verify fixes to maintain quality.
• Ensure KPIs defined by leadership are consistently achieved through rigorous testing and performance tracking.

Job Responsibilities

• Good exposure on Board Support Package (BSP) testing activities, ensuring the proper integration of hardware and software in the infotainment system.
• Hands‑on experience with LTP-DDT/Kselftest (Linux) and VTS (Android) to ensure the system operates as expected across various hardware platforms.
• Possess a solid understanding of Network switch rule testing, Network management and network diagnostics and S2R Testing.
• Exposure to Infotainment Systems and key domains like CAN, UDS, Vehicle Functions & Diagnostics, Media, Audio, and Tuner.
• Understand software architecture and hardware to ramp up quickly and take ownership of the complete end-to-end testing perspective, covering functional, stability, and stress tests.
• Write, execute, and maintain test cases based on architecture elements and requirements, ensuring all relevant scenarios (including exploratory tests) are covered after every release.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, designers, testers, and managers in multiple locations to ensure successful integration and testing across the system.
• Automate test cases using Python, enhancing testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
• Perform detailed analysis of reported problems, bugs, and defects. Track issues, verify bug fixes, and ensure that all issues are addressed effectively to maintain high-quality standards.
• Ensure KPIs defined by leadership are consistently achieved through rigorous testing and performance tracking.

Basic Qualifications

Educational Background

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in BSP Testing with hands‑on expertise in LTP-DDT (Linux) and VTS (Android).
• Experience in the development and execution of Software Integration Test (SWIT) and System Integration Test (SIT).
• Ability to interpret hardware schematics and software design documents.
• Hands‑on experience in translating UML-based sequence diagrams into test cases for embedded systems.
• Strong experience with embedded software and hardware debugging tools.

Technical Expertise

• Experience with HiL/SiL/MiL (Hardware-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, Model-in-the-Loop) testing.
• Hands‑on experience with Python for test automation and scripting.
• Familiarity with requirement management tools such as DOORS and DNG.
• Good understanding of CAN/LIN Communication Protocols and UDS Diagnostics Protocol.

Additional Skills

• Experience working on projects practicing ASPICE standards and processes.
• Exposure to Machine Learning concepts is a plus.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with a self‑motivated, result‑driven attitude.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Communication: Fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Certifications: ISTQB or equivalent software testing certification is a plus.
