Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Bengaluru seeks a Securities Research Associate to join our Corporate and Investment Banking team. You will work with the US deal team on pitchbooks, valuations, peer analysis, opportunity analysis, and other industry-related materials.

The ideal candidate has an MBA or master’s in finance with 3+ years of relevant experience, strong communication skills, and knowledge of TMT sub-sectors.

Responsibilities

• Generate research packet products and post them to market data vendors.
• Update and maintain mailing lists and provide client access to websites.
• Assign reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts for resource efficiency.
• Maintain databases and follow directions from leaders.
• Interact with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Assist on work streams forming key components of M&A buy-side or sell-side deal execution, corporate finance or capital markets transactions.
• Prepare pitchbook components including industry overviews, company profiles, management biographies, brokers’ outlook, share price performance, deal case studies.
• Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, and sector updates and analyses.
• Work on financial analysis, industry benchmarking and valuation models.
• Develop working knowledge of market databases e.g., FactSet, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Dealogic, Merger Market.

Role Overview:

Securities Research Associate within our Corporate and Investment Banking team. The role involves working closely with the US deal team on pitchbooks, valuations, peer analysis, opportunity analysis, and other industry-related materials.

Desired Qualifications:

• MBA or master’s in finance from a premier education institute with 3+ years of relevant work experience with a good understanding of TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom) sub-sectors.
• Strong inclination towards building a career in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
• Impeccable communication and interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to interact with senior professionals and key stakeholders.
• Good understanding of financial concepts and company valuation techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate research packet products, post research documents to market data vendors, update and maintain mailing lists, and provide client access to web sites.
• Assign reports to Editors and Supervisory Analysts to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
• Maintain databases and receive directions from leaders.
• Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

• Assist in preparing pitchbook components including industry overviews, company profiles, management biographies, brokers’ outlook, share price performance, deal case studies, evolution of industry/peer’s valuation multiples, possible buyer/seller opportunities, amongst others.
• Work on comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, buyer or target identification, company/M&A screening and sector updates and analyses.
• Work on financial analysis, industry benchmarking and valuation models.
• Develop excellent working knowledge of market databases e.g., FactSet, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, Dealogic, Merger Market, etc.
• Interact with multiple stakeholders to achieve the desired goal.
• Would be required to operate in the US time zone providing real-time support to the US stakeholders covering various products and sectors.
