Job summary

Re Sustainability is seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to manage end-to-end litigation and provide strategic legal guidance in Hyderabad, India. The role involves case assessment, drafting pleadings, and representing the company in court as needed, with collaboration with external counsel in higher courts.

You will support dispute resolution, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior staff and shaping internal legal strategies.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Indian legal frameworks, including CPC, CrPC, Evidence Act, and relevant commercial laws.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and utilize a strong network of legal contacts, including AORs and other advocates, to facilitate smooth case progression.
• Ensure all litigation activities align with company policies, ethical standards, and timelines.
• Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to the development of internal legal strategies.
