Qualifications

• LLM or specialized certifications in litigation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end litigation processes, including case assessment, strategy development, drafting pleadings, and representing the company in court proceedings as needed.
• Provide in-house legal counsel on dispute resolution, risk mitigation, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with external counsel, including Advocates on Record (AOR), to handle matters in higher courts.
• Conduct legal research, analyse case precedents, and prepare reports on ongoing litigations.
• Negotiate settlements, mediate disputes, and advise on alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
• Maintain and utilize a strong network of legal contacts, including AORs and other advocates.
• Ensure all litigation activities align with company policies, ethical standards, and timelines.
• Mentor junior legal staff and contribute to internal legal strategies.
