Tekskills is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer in India to manage diverse Linux environments, optimize kernel and file systems, and drive automation across production systems. You will lead troubleshooting, design secure infrastructure, and collaborate with teams in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of Linux experience, strong scripting, virtualization, and cloud/container proficiency, plus clear communication and leadership skills to guide projects.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with Linux distributions (RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, SLES).
• Deep understanding of Linux internals: kernel, file systems, processes, networking.
• Expertise in automation/config mgmt tools: Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack.
• Scripting proficiency: Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Experience with virtualization: VMware, KVM, OpenStack.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, load balancers.
• Cloud and container skills: AWS/Azure/GCP; Docker and Kubernetes desirable.
• Proven root-cause analysis and complex issue troubleshooting.
• Security best practices for Linux environments.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.

• Deep understanding of Linux internals, including kernel, file systems, process management, and networking.
• Strong expertise in system automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef, SaltStack).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
• Extensive experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM, OpenStack).
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Load Balancing).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and perform root cause analysis.
