Job summary

UST is hiring a Developer III – Embedded Software to design, develop, and maintain Linux-based applications and platform components. You will enhance kernel modules, device drivers, and system services while troubleshooting complex issues and improving performance.

You will work with firmware, hardware, QA, and DevOps teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to product releases. Strong C/C++ and Linux internals knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Linux software development.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++.
  • Experience with Linux user-space and system programming.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux operating system concepts and internals.
  • Experience with multi-threading, IPC mechanisms, and networking.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools.
  • Experience using Git and build systems such as Make, CMake, or Yocto.

  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and automated testing frameworks.
