Job summary

Decoworld designs and manufactures stylish home products and is seeking a creative, hands-on designer with experience in lamps or home décor made from iron/metal or ceramics. Qualifications

Job description

Decoworld designs and manufactures stylish, functional and thoughtfully crafted products for modern homes, including furniture, lighting, home décor, organizers, racks, trolleys, tables and lifestyle utility products.

We’re looking for a creative, hands‑on and detail-oriented designer with previous experience developing lamps, lighting products, or home décor products made from iron/metal or ceramics. The ideal candidate can take products from concept to production while balancing aesthetics, functionality, materials, manufacturability and cost.

Experience: 1–5 years of relevant experience

Salary: Up to ₹70,000/month, based on experience and portfolio

Work Arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities

• Create sketches, mood boards, form explorations, 3D models, renders and product presentation sheets.
• Prepare technical drawings, dimensions, material specifications, finish references and production documentation.
• Work on product proportions, functionality, construction details, colours, textures and finishes.
• Collaborate with sourcing, sampling and manufacturing teams to convert concepts into feasible products.
• Review prototypes and samples, resolve design issues, and refine products for durability, appearance, functionality and cost.
• Research market trends, customer needs and competitor products to identify new design opportunities.
• Improve existing products based on customer feedback, production inputs and sales performance.

Who We’re Looking For

• Degree or diploma in Industrial Design, Product Design, Furniture Design or a related field.
• Practical understanding of materials, finishes, construction methods and manufacturing limitations.
• Experience working with manufacturing teams or vendors on sampling, prototyping or production.
• Ability to create accurate 3D models, technical drawings and product specifications.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills and willingness to work closely with factory teams.

Preferred Software Skills

• Rhino, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SketchUp or similar CAD software.
• KeyShot, Blender, V-Ray or similar rendering tools.
• Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign for product presentations and visual communication.

Good to Have

• Experience with metal fabrication, bending, welding, powder coating, assembly and finishing.
• Exposure to ceramic product development, including forming, glazing and firing.
• Experience combining materials such as metal and ceramics within a product.
• Understanding of costing, packaging constraints and e-commerce product requirements.
