Job summary

Curated Dots in Kochi (Hybrid) is seeking a Lighting Designer who blends creative design concepts with technical CAD drafting and photorealistic visualization to shape architectural spaces.

The role involves developing lighting concepts, preparing RCPs and luminaire schedules in AutoCAD, and collaborating with architects and MEP teams while maintaining design intent through construction.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, or Electrical Engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and Photoshop; Dialux evo is required; experience with 3D visualization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design innovative lighting concepts and layered schemes (ambient, task, accent, cove).
• Prepare precise RCPs, luminaire schedules, and site coordination details in AutoCAD 2D.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, MEP, and contractors to preserve design intent through execution.

We are expanding our team and looking for a passionate Lighting Designer based in Kochi (Hybrid) who thrives at the intersection of creative design concepts, technical CAD drafting, and photorealistic visualization.

What Youll Do:

• Design & Concept: Develop innovative lighting concepts, layered lighting schemes (ambient, task, accent, cove), lux calculations, and client presentation decks.
• Technical Drafting: Prepare precise Reflected Ceiling Plans (RCPs), luminaire schedules, and site coordination details in AutoCAD 2D.
• 3D Visualization: Bring illuminated spaces to life through realistic 3D renderings showcasing beam angles, CCT, and optical effects.
• Collaboration: Coordinate closely with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, and on-site contractors to maintain design intent through execution.

Who Were Looking For:

• Background: Degree/Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design, or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 1-3 years in architectural lighting design, interior drafting, or 3D visualization. Exceptional freshers with a strong portfolio are welcome to apply!
• Key Software:
• AutoCAD (2D) & Photoshop Required
• Dialux / Dialux evo – Required
• 3ds Max / SketchUp / V-Ray / Corona / D5 Render – Preferred
• Core Skills: Strong spatial awareness, eye for interior finishes, and solid grounding in lighting physics (CCT, CRI, optics, driver/dimming protocols).
