Job summary

Keus is seeking a Senior Lighting Designer to join our Lighting Verticals in Mumbai. You will create lighting layouts in AutoCAD, Dialux Evo, and Photoshop, and prepare lighting BOQs to support sales and technical teams.

You will coordinate with architects, designers, and clients on-site and remotely; edit 3D renderings; and manage lighting projects from concept through completion, ensuring design intent and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Three years of professional experience in lighting design and/or architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux Evo and Photoshop; Rhino and Revit advantageous.
  • Completed university education in lighting design or architecture preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Create lighting concept presentations.
  • Develop lighting drawings from plans, elevations, sections and details.
  • Coordinate design with clients, architects, designers and third parties.
  • Calculate luminous output and intensity; prepare layout plans and documentation.
  • Edit 3D renderings to show lighting scenarios for presentations.
  • Research new lighting solutions and innovations.
  • Use Dialux Evo & Photoshop for simulations and validation.
  • Manage lighting projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate projects on-site and remotely; supervise installation as needed.

Position Overview:

Keus Is Looking for a Senior Lighting Designer in the Lighting Verticals. We are looking for someone to help the Sales/Technical team by creating lighting layouts in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Dialux, or EVO, and creating lighting BOQs.

This role requires functional competencies in AutoCAD, Photoshop, Dialux or EVO, and lighting technicalities, as well as lighting terminologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to create lighting concept presentations.
  • Ability to develop lighting drawings on CAD or sketches from plans, elevations, sections, and details.
  • Manage & coordinate application design with clients and third parties, and internally.
  • Ability to calculate luminous output and intensity of the lighting system, make layout plans, work drawings, and documentation of the lighting applications.
  • Ability to edit 3D renderings to show simulated lighting scenes of the design intent.
  • Research new lighting solutions and innovations.
  • Using Dialux Evo & Photoshop, to do lighting simulations for presentation, reports as a project requirement, and for validation of the design proposed.
  • Lighting project management and site coordination
  • Coordinate projects with Architects, Designers, and Clients on-site and remotely.
  • Manage, coordinate, and supervise the installation of the light fixtures to meet the client’s expectations when needed.

  • Team Player: High motivation, commitment, flexibility, and leadership skills to collaborate effectively within a team and mentor junior members.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Completed university education (diploma/bachelor/master) in lighting design or architecture preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of three years of professional experience in lighting design and/or architecture, preferably in a studio environment.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Adobe CC (especially InDesign & Photoshop), AutoCAD, Dialux, and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of Rhino and Revit is advantageous.
