Job summary

RRD is seeking a Printing and Bindery Specialist for the 2nd shift. The role involves operating offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment, setting up machines for production runs, and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.

Also responsible for basic clerical tasks related to equipment and may assist in training new team members, with potential overtime and shift differential for the 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Familiar with routine operating procedures of equipment that can be set up and operated following simple instructions.
• Skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to equipment operation (e.g., maintain machine records, label creation).
• Ability to identify improper machine operation and make basic adjustments.

Job Description

• Operate offline and auxiliary binding/finishing/packaging equipment
• Set up and adjusts machine and equipment for production runs
• Clean, lubricate and maintain machine to ensure its optimum operation
• May troubleshoot issues and submit requests for maintenance as needed
• May coordinate the assignment of crewmembers and may provide training for new team members

Qualifications

• Requires familiarity with routine operating procedures of equipment which can be set up and operated following a few step by step instructions and the skill to operate the equipment
• Requires skill to perform minor clerical tasks incidental to the operation of the equipment (e.g., maintain machine operating and maintenance records, write new identification labels for computer tapes, etc.), and skill to perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating the equipment
• Ability to identify if improper machine operation and make basic adjustments

Therate of pay for this role at the noted location is $17.00 per hour. In addition to base pay, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential $2 more for 2nd shift, call-in, and stand-by pay.
