Job summary

The Coca-Cola Company in India is seeking a Production Operator II to join our manufacturing team. You will operate packaging equipment, monitor processes, and take action to prevent downtime and losses while adhering to operating parameters.

You will work with OIT screens, LIS terminals, and perform daily maintenance on lift trucks, contributing to TPM Autonomous Maintenance and continuous plant improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience as a Production Operator.
  • Good math and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English is required.
  • Must be experienced and able to learn operator OIT control panels.
  • Prior knowledge or ability to run automated casing equipment is needed.
  • Must possess a mechanical aptitude to be able to sequence equipment for proper start-up and shutdown, understanding machinery and conveyor controls.
  • Must be able to identify line problems, non-conforming products, and employ corrective actions.
  • The ability to do repetitive stooping, lifting 50 pounds, bending, and standing while operating equipment is required.
  • Must be able to work a daily schedule of 8.5 hours with a half hour unpaid lunch, with overtime and extended hours as required and work any shift as directed.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of manufacturing tasks, including operating the packaging equipment and providing relief for other operators, while reporting and identifying problems on the production line.
  • Utilize computer terminals including OIT Screen software and LIS terminals to track downtime.
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on lift trucks as required.
  • Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Autonomous Maintenance.
  • Set-up, operate, and troubleshoot all casing equipment, including marsh printers, bar coding systems, and labelers.
  • Complete necessary conveyor adjustments for changeovers and make minor packaging equipment adjustments.

Job description

The Production Operator plays a key role in the identification of performance issues and actively contributes to the resolution of problems and the continuous improvement of the plant performance. This is accomplished through strict adherence to prescribed equipment operating parameters, closely monitoring the performance of the process equipment, and taking action to reduce occurrences of both efficiency and/or material losses. What You'll Do For Us
