Job summary

Amsive in Hobart, IN is seeking a Large Format Press Operator to set up, operate, and maintain oversized digital printing equipment to produce high-quality graphics, banners and signs. This role requires precision, color accuracy and attention to detail to meet client specs on various substrates.

You'll work with Durst, Vutek and HP Indigo equipment, follow production schedules, perform routine maintenance, and monitor print quality from setup to delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years experience in large format or digital printing environments.
• Experience operating Durst, Vutek and HP Indigo equipment is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of large format substrates and maintenance/operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate large format digital printing presses and adhere to production schedules.

Hours: 7am - 3:30pm, with expected additional OT hours including weekends

Pay: Starting at $22.00 based on skills and experience

What we are looking for

The Large Format Press Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining oversized digital printing equipment to produce high-quality graphics, banners, signs, and point-of-purchase displays. This role requires technical precision, strong color vision, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure client specifications are met on a wide variety of rigid and flexible substrates. In this role, the operator will be responsible for running Durst, Vutek, and HP Indigo equipment.

What you will be doing

• Operate large format digital printing presses while adhering to production schedules.
• Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Review job specifications and make necessary adjustments to color profiles, resolutions, and layouts before printing.
• Set up and configure machines for different substrates and print jobs.
• Monitor print quality throughout the printing process and make real-time adjustments as necessary.
• Ensure all printed materials meet quality standards and customer specifications before delivery.
• Keep accurate records of production runs, material usage, and any issues encountered during the printing process.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are

• Minimum of 2 year’s experience in large format and or digital printing environment
• Experience with running Durst, Vutek, and HP Indigo equipment is highly preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Large Format Printing Substrates and detailed Large Format Press Maintenance / operations knowledge and skills.
• Effective process management skills, excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to document regular activities and e-mail correspondence
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• High School Diploma or GED required

Work Environment

Position operates in a regulated manufacturing print/mail production facility

Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive motions in a fast-paced production environment

Security Clearance

Amsive is a Federal Contractor, and this position may require government security clearance for certain projects.
