Job summary

WARPE in Chennai is seeking a Testing & Commissioning Engineer to carry out testing, inspection, and commissioning of elevator systems. You will ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with technical, quality, and safety requirements before project handover.

The role requires 4–15 years of experience, a diploma or degree in electrical/electronics/mechanical engineering, and hands-on ability with electrical systems, control panels, and elevator components.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
• Freshers to 4 years of experience in elevator testing, commissioning, installation, or related fields.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, wiring, and elevator components is preferred.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Willingness to work at project sites in and around Chennai.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of elevators at project sites.
• Inspect elevator systems and components to ensure proper installation and functionality.
• Conduct functional and safety tests as per technical specifications and company standards.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during testing and commissioning.
• Verify elevator performance, operation, and safety systems.
• Coordinate with installation, service, and project teams to resolve site-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality and safety standards.
• Prepare testing, commissioning, inspection, and handover reports.
• Support final inspection and ensure the elevator is ready for project handover.
• Maintain proper documentation of testing and commissioning activities.
