Job summary

Career Guideline in Pune is hiring for Licensing Specialist US Mortgage - WFO. Immediate to 30 days notice period is expected, with a qualification of 3+ years in US mortgage licensing and hands-on NMLS experience.

Location: Pune; Shift: US Night shift; Package: Up to 20-25 LPA. The role requires experience in licensing across company, branch, and MLO levels, with knowledge of SAFE Act, state regimes, and regulatory interactions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in US mortgage licensing.
• Hands-on experience with NMLS across company, branch and individual licensing.
• Knowledge of the SAFE Act and state mortgage licensing regimes; familiarity with CFPB, HUD/FHA, and regulators.
• Experience managing multi-state license applications and renewals end to end.

• Experience in US mortgage licensing, compliance, or regulatory affairs with hands-on NMLS experience across company, branch, and individual licensing.
• Working knowledge of the SAFE Act and state mortgage licensing regimes, including MLO pre-licensure and continuing education requirements, and familiarity with regulators.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-state license applications and renewals end to end.
• Experience supporting regulatory examinations and licensing audits, including tracking and remediating findings.
• Strong documentation and project-tracking skills with ability to manage many deadlines across jurisdictions.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including interaction with regulators and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience in US mortgage licensing, compliance, or regulatory affairs, with hands-on NMLS experience across company, branch, and individual (MLO) licensing.
• Working knowledge of the SAFE Act and state mortgage licensing regimes, including MLO pre-licensure and continuing education requirements, and familiarity with the roles of the CFPB, HUD/FHA, and state banking / financial regulators.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-state company, branch, and MLO license applications and renewals end to end.
• Experience supporting or coordinating regulatory examinations and internal licensing audits, including tracking and remediating findings.
• Strong documentation, project-tracking, and follow-through skills, with the ability to manage many concurrent deadlines across jurisdictions.
• Clear written and verbal communication, including comfort interacting directly with regulators and with senior leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience licensing a lender, broker, servicer, or correspondent - at both entity and branch level - across all 50 states.
• Familiarity with surety bonds, net worth requirements, and control-person / qualifying-individual requirements.
• Experience with regulatory change management and Mortgage Call Report (MCR) filings.
• A compliance credential such as CRCM, or completion of relevant NMLS / compliance training
