Job summary

Clinikally is seeking a sharp, motivated 4th/5th year law student to support end-to-end legal documentation, corporate governance, and startup-related matters in a fast-growing healthcare tech environment in India.

You will assist in regulatory compliance, due diligence, and advisory tasks, coordinating with internal teams and regulatory authorities as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of contract law, corporate law and related subjects.
• Interest in startup, healthcare and regulatory law.
• CS qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist end-to-end execution of legal documentation and post-execution compliance.
• Support governance, commercial contracts and startup-related matters.
• Assist in legal due diligence for investments, partnerships and acquisitions.
• Monitor pharmaceutical and healthcare compliance across lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Legal Documentation & Execution

• Assist in the end-to-end execution of legal documentation, including drafting, review, negotiation support, execution, record management, and post-execution compliance.
• Support preparation and maintenance of agreements, contracts, policies, statutory records, and compliance documentation.
• Ensure documentation aligns with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards.

Corporate, Commercial & Startup Law

• Assist in corporate governance, secretarial compliance, and commercial contracting.
• Support startup-related legal matters including incorporation, structuring, shareholder arrangements, fundraising documentation, ESOP frameworks, and exit-related documentation.
• Assist in legal due diligence exercises for investments, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic transactions.

Pharmaceutical & Healthcare Legal Compliance

• Support legal compliance across pharmaceutical and healthcare laws, including licensing, regulatory approvals, marketing practices, distribution, labeling, and quality-related documentation.
• Assist in monitoring compliance for pharmaceutical products and healthcare services across their lifecycle.
• Track and analyze regulatory changes impacting pharmaceutical operations.

Regulatory Compliance & Due Diligence

• Assist in end-to-end compliance management, including identification of applicable laws, preparation of compliance checklists, regulatory filings, disclosures, and audit support.
• Support legal and regulatory due diligence, including document review, risk identification, gap analysis, and preparation of due diligence reports.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with SEPC, IFC, and other applicable sector-specific regulations governing services, products, and operations.

Legal Research & Advisory Support

• Conduct comprehensive legal research on statutes, rules, regulations, circulars, notifications, and judicial precedents.
• Prepare legal briefs, compliance notes, issue trackers, and internal advisory memoranda under supervision.

Operational & Stakeholder Support

• Coordinate with internal teams, external counsel, consultants, and regulatory authorities for execution of legal and compliance matters.
• Maintain legal repositories, trackers, and compliance calendars.
• Ensure confidentiality, accuracy, and adherence to professional and ethical standards

Who We’re Looking For

• 4th or 5th year law student from a reputed institute
• Strong understanding of Contract Law, Corporate Law & related subjects
• Interest in startup, healthcare & regulatory law
• CS qualification (completed or pursuing) is a plus
• Detail-oriented, proactive & comfortable in a fast-paced startup
