Job summary

Innovaccer Inc. seeks an experienced Legal Consultant for a 4-month engagement. You will work closely with the General Legal Counsel and the legal team to draft and negotiate contracts, advise on patentability, trade secrets, licensing, enforcement, and regulatory alignment.

Key responsibilities include negotiating US and India contracts, providing policy opinions, and ensuring regulatory compliance across HIPAA, DPDP, and FDA/CDSCO frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a reputed Indian university.
• Master’s or U.S. law degree (LLM) is a plus.
• 8–12 years of experience as in-house corporate lawyer with a strong track record in healthcare tech, AI, and digital health.
• Experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry preferred.
• Familiarity with Indian and U.S. legal systems, including HIPAA, DPDP, and FDA/CDSCO regulations.
• Strong communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating and drafting diverse contracts with US clients (healthcare providers, payers, pharma).
• Negotiating procurement and partnership contracts with US entities and with India vendors.
• Provide legal opinions on company policies and processes.
• Regulatory research and compliance.
• Liaise with external counsel on contracts, compliance, disputes, IP matters.
• Drive efficiency in contracting and other legal processes.

About the Role

As the Legal Consultant, you will work with General Legal Counsel and the legal team on drafting and negotiating various contracts.

You will play a central role in shaping how we develop, protect, and scale innovation, advising on patentability, trade secrets, licensing, enforcement, and regulatory alignment.

PLEASE NOTE: This role would be on a 4-month engagement only.

A Day in the Life

• Negotiating sales contracts with US clients with healthcare providers, healthcare payers, pharma companies etc.
• Negotiating complex procurement and partnership contracts with US entities
• Negotiating procurement contracts with India vendors
• Provide legal opinion on company policies and processes
• Regulatory research and compliance
• Liaise with external counsel on contracts, compliance, disputes, IP related matters etc.
• Drive efficiency in contracting and other legal processes

What You Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from a reputed Indian university; Master’s or U.S. law degree (LLM) is a plus
• Experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry preferred
• Some exposure in legal research and compliance
• 8–12 years of experience as in-house corporate lawyer with a strong track record in healthcare tech, AI, and digital health.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and evaluate complex software, AI/ML systems, and medical devices.
• Familiarity with Indian and U.S. legal systems, including HIPAA, DPDP, and FDA/CDSCO regulations.
• Strong communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
