Job summary

Innovaccer is seeking a Legal Consultant to join the Legal team in Noida on a four-month engagement. You will draft and negotiate contracts and advise on regulatory alignment to protect and scale our innovative solutions.

Ideal candidates hold an Indian LLB (LLM preferred) with 8–12 years of in-house experience in healthcare tech or AI, and familiarity with HIPAA, DPDP and FDA/CDSCO. You will liaise with external counsel and help drive contracting efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of in-house corporate legal experience
• Experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry preferred
• Exposure to legal research and compliance
• Familiarity with Indian and U.S. legal systems (HIPAA, DPDP, FDA/CDSCO)
• Ability to evaluate complex software, AI/ML systems, and medical devices

Responsibilities

• Negotiate sales contracts with US clients (healthcare providers, payers, pharma)
• Negotiate procurement and partnership contracts with US entities
• Negotiate procurement contracts with India vendors
• Provide legal opinions on policies and processes
• Conduct regulatory research and ensure compliance

About the Role

As the Legal Consultant, you will work with General Legal Counsel and the legal team on drafting and negotiating various contracts.

You will play a central role in shaping how we develop, protect, and scale innovation, advising on patentability, trade secrets, licensing, enforcement, and regulatory alignment.

PLEASE NOTE: This role would be on a 4-month engagement only.

A Day in the Life

• Negotiating sales contracts with US clients with healthcare providers, healthcare payers, pharma companies etc.
• Negotiating complex procurement and partnership contracts with US entities
• Negotiating procurement contracts with India vendors
• Provide legal opinion on company policies and processes
• Regulatory research and compliance
• Liaise with external counsel on contracts, compliance, disputes, IP related matters etc.
• Drive efficiency in contracting and other legal processes

What You Need

• Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a reputed Indian university; Master’s or U.S. law degree (LLM) is a plus
• Experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals industry preferred
• Some exposure in legal research and compliance
• 8–12 years of experience as in-house corporate lawyer with a strong track record in healthcare tech, AI, and digital health.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and evaluate complex software, AI/ML systems, and medical devices.
• Familiarity with Indian and U.S. legal systems, including HIPAA, DPDP, and FDA/CDSCO regulations.
• Strong communication and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
