Overview

A fast-growing healthcare technology company is looking for a Legal Counsel to drive its legal strategy and execution across jurisdictions (India & US). This role will cover contracts, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and risk management. The candidate should be business-oriented, solution-driven, and comfortable managing both strategy and execution.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with hospitals, vendors, distributors, and partners (India + US)
• Ensure compliance with healthcare, data protection (HIPAA, DPDP Act), and medical device regulations
• Manage corporate governance, secretarial responsibilities, and board policies
• Support legal due diligence for fundraising, partnerships, and transactions
• Identify risks, design internal controls, and implement compliance policies (data protection, whistleblower, code of conduct, etc.)
• Provide legal training and awareness to internal teams (sales, operations, customer success)

Requirements

• Experience: 7–10 years of legal experience (healthcare, SaaS, technology, or startups preferred)
• Qualification: LLB or equivalent (LLM or CS is a plus)
