Job summary

Accenture is seeking an experienced Innovation Legal professional in Bengaluru to support global Innovation Business teams. You will assess legal risks for new initiatives, collaborate with the Global GSL and broader Accenture Legal Team, and craft clear guidance for business and legal colleagues.

The role emphasizes IP understanding, regulatory awareness, and the ability to influence diverse stakeholders across regions. JD or equivalent and bar admission are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
• Experience in product and offering counsel work, identifying risks and proposing solutions.
• Experience in intellectual property and familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Innovation Business teams across geos to identify and address innovation legal issues.
• Conduct legal assessments of new initiatives, identifying risks and mitigation strategies with Accenture Legal.
• Develop clear communications and guidance for the business and legal teams.
• Contribute to templates and training materials for Innovation teams and client-facing contracting.
• Take on assignments as required by the Innovation Legal Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Innovation Business teams in various geos to efficiently identify and address innovation legal issues.
• Conduct legal assessments of new innovative initiatives, including identifying risks and related mitigation strategies in collaboration with colleagues across GSL and the wider Accenture Legal Team.
• Develop clear communication messages and guidance to enable the business and other Legal teams across Accenture.
• Contribute to templates and training materials for the Innovation teams and other Legal teams including those responsible for client-facing contracting.
• Take on assignments as required by the Innovation Legal Lead or the changes in business priorities.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

• 8+ years relevant experience in a corporate or law firm setting.
• Extensive experience at a law firm and/or as in-house counsel with special focus on product and offering counsel work, identifying risks and proposing solutions in a legally compliant manner.
• Experience in intellectual property and understanding of or willingness to learn about regulatory frameworks that may apply to the innovations.
