The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in debt collection or legal recovery, with LLB/BA LLB preferred, and will conduct field visits, negotiate repayment plans, and coordinate with external legal panels

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB / BA LLB preferred).
• Experience: 1–3 years in debt collection/recovery with legal exposure.
• Strong communication, persuasion and conflict-resolution skills.
• Understanding RBI guidelines and Fair Practice Codes is essential.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate structured repayment plans, settlements, or immediate recovery of dues.
• Conduct field visits for address verification and in-person negotiations when needed.
• Coordinate with external legal panels to escalate cases to Arbitration or Lok Adalat.
• Draft and submit recovery documents for legal escalations.
• Ensure procedures align with internal credit policies and RBI guidelines.

Job Overview

We are looking for a performance-driven Legal Collections Executive / Legal Recovery Officer to join our Collections & Recovery team. The ideal candidate will combine legal knowledge with hands-on collection experience to handle high-POS, chronic default, and non-compliant accounts while strictly adhering to regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Skills

• Customer Negotiation & Debt Resolution
  • Engage directly with high-POS (Principal Outstanding) and chronic default customers to negotiate structured repayment plans, settlements, or immediate recovery of dues.
  • Conduct field visits for address verification and direct in-person negotiations when phone communications are avoided or blocked.
• Handling Complex & Non-Compliant Accounts
  • Effectively handle non-compliant customers who cite legal loopholes, third-party panel representation, harassment claims, or false DND requests to delay payments.
• Legal Escalation & Coordination
  • Coordinate closely with external legal panels to upscale overdue cases to formal legal proceedings, including Arbitration and Lok Adalat.
  • Draft and ensure accurate submission of necessary recovery documentations for legal escalations.
• Compliance & Governance
  • Ensure all recovery and collection procedures strictly align with internal credit policies, the companys Fair Practice Codes (FPC), and RBI recovery guidelines to mitigate legal exposure and reputational risk.

Candidate Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Law (LLB / BA LLB preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in debt collection, recovery, or legal recovery.
• Strong communication, persuasion, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Thorough understanding of RBI guidelines, Fair Practice Codes, and basic legal recovery proceedings (Arbitration, Section 138/NI Act, Lok Adalat).
• Ability to handle high-pressure negotiation scenarios and field visits.
