Job summary

LMT Glocal Services seeks a diligent legal drafting professional to support civil and US-based matters. You will draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses under senior attorney supervision, ensuring timely submissions and adherence to court procedures.

Requirement includes a law degree with at least two years of experience, excellent English communication, and MS Office proficiency. US law drafting exposure is preferred and ability to work independently is essential.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings and motions for civil and criminal matters with high productivity and accuracy.
• Prepare, file motions and supporting affidavits/briefs; manage discovery drafting and responses.
• Conduct in-depth legal research into case law, statutes, and opinions.
• Manage case filings and ensure adherence to court procedures and deadlines.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop arguments and strategy.
• Draft US-based Personal Injury documents including demand letters, motions, complaints, infant compromises.
• Organize and retrieve case files and monitor statuses; report to supervisor.
• Perform any other tasks related to legal services as assigned.

Job description

Role and Responsibilities:

• Drafting Pleadings: Draft complaints, summons, answers, and various interlocutory applications (motions) for civil and/or criminal matters with the highest productivity and accuracy, and determine the required response
• Motion Practice: Prepare, review, and file motions (e.g., motions to compel, motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions), including supporting affidavits and briefs.
• Discovery Drafting: Draft and respond to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production of documents, and requests for admission.
• Legal Research: Conduct in-depth research into case law, statutes, and judicial opinions to support arguments in motions and pleadings.
• Case Management: Manage case filings and ensure strict adherence to court procedures and procedural deadlines.
• Collaboration: Work with senior attorneys to develop legal arguments and case strategy.
• U.S.-based Personal Injury Law drafting, including but not limited to Demand Letters, Motions, Summons & Complaints, and Infant Compromises
• Prepares, organizes, stores, and retrieves case files, which may include evidence, exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.
• Update the immediate reporting authority about the various case statuses
• Any other task related to Legal Services as assigned

Qualifications:

• A law degree with at least 2 years of work experience in litigation and non-litigation matters
• Demonstrated experience in drafting under US Laws will be preferred
• Excellent English language skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Researching case law and other related material on relevant laws
• Exposure to handling Litigation and Arbitration proceedings
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A self-starter, able to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Strong analytical ability, logical, and problem-solving approach
