Role Summary
The Legal Associate will support the legal team in ensuring all land and regulatory requirements are properly handled—from title verification to government liaison. The role demands a deep understanding of land laws, documentation processes, and compliance frameworks specific to infrastructure and power projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. TSR (Title Search Reports)
- Conduct end-to-end title verification and due diligence for land parcels.
- Draft and review Title Search Reports.
- Liaise with Tehsildar and revenue department officials for land mutation, demarcation, and related tasks.
- Track land records and ensure official validations.
3. Site Documentation
- Maintain, organize, and verify all property-related documents such as sale deeds, ECs, link documents, RoRs, and patta.
- Coordinate documentation flow between internal and external stakeholders.
4. Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure adherence to legal and local authority requirements for all land acquisitions and transactions.
- Track and manage approvals, NOCs, and clearances.
- Analyze encumbrance certificates and conduct legal due diligence to flag risks.
- Assist in providing legal opinions to senior leadership.
6. Land Verification
- Verify survey numbers, land boundaries, and ownership consistency in official records.
- Support legal inspections and validation reports.
- Coordinate with municipal, registration, and planning departments for necessary approvals.
- Build strong working relationships with relevant government officers.
8. Land Procurement Assistance
- Provide legal support during negotiations and land acquisition processes.
- Draft MoUs, agreements, and assist in closure of transactions.
Desired Profile
- Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognized university.
- 2–4 years of experience in legal roles related to renewable energy.
- Familiarity with land laws, revenue records, and regulatory frameworks in the infrastructure sector.
- Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting legal documents.
- Good command over English and local language (Telugu preferred).
- Willingness to travel for site visits and liaison work.
