Job summary

Sembcorp in India seeks a qualified lawyer to support the Legal team on matters arising from renewable/thermal power and infrastructure projects, with a focus on land due diligence and land-related issues.

You will assist with litigation, regulatory and commercial matters, draft and review legal notices, conduct legal research, and maintain legal MIS. You will work both independently and with internal teams to ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• LL.B. degree required
• 3–5 years PQE in the power sector
• Experience handling legal issues in power projects

• Assist in land legal due diligence for projects.
• Support legal matters and litigation relating to land, including civil and criminal matters.
• Assist with litigation and regulatory/commercial legal matters relating to power-generation businesses.
• Draft and review legal notices and associated documentation.
• Conduct legal research on various issues relevant to projects and business operations.
• Maintain legal MIS and reporting for relevant departments.
• Ensure adherence to company policies in day-to-day legal activities.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively with internal teams.
