Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints, claims and litigation trails attached to client matters — assemble the factual record, the procedural history and the exposure assessment in one place
• Examine the legality of current engagement policies and practices, and flag where a program drifts from the regulatory position before it becomes a finding
• Document legal opinions and findings clearly — the old rule stands: an opinion that cannot be reconstructed six months later did not happen
• Maintain the legal research database — statutes, rulings, notifications and precedents indexed against the engagement types they actually affect
• Support drafting and revision of legal policies and templates alongside the advisors who sign them
• Coordinate between the legal team, engagement leads and outside counsel so every party works from the same factual base — the misalignment killer
• Run ad hoc legal investigations as engagements demand: a jurisdiction question before a campaign launches, a platform-policy read before content ships, a regulatory scan before a market entry
